I adj them first for perfect idle sync, then right side cable for balance at 3000rpm. been doing it wrong all this time

surely the idle adjustment will lift the butterflies off the stops a tad? Seems a bit of an odd setting.

The brass idle adjustment screws have no effect on the butterflies at all.

But the do have an effect on the balance sync at idle![]()
Well feck me, i wondered what they were for.![]()

The brass screws adjust idle speed, nothing else. And it doesn't really matter how many turns in or out they are. You need however many turns it takes to idle at the speed you desire. I like my bike to idle at 800-900 revs, and couldn't tell you how many turns out the screws are.

Seems they do both, Idle and throttle sync
