1100GS Throttle Lag (after 150,000 miles) Help Needed

I was out with our auld travelling mate, the Celt/joe) and his 150,000mile 1100 Green Meanie is having a problem when rolling off and back on throttle.

For example in Second when backing off and then opening the throttle again there is a lag/pause before the power comes on.

Bike is idling perfect and once the power comes on it seems ok.
It started today (in the dry) and happened every time (not intermittent)

Joe thinks it may be the Motronic so has reset this with no change.

Any suggestions on what to check as he needs the bike back on the road ASAP?

Found the problem righthand cable frayed was keeping butterfly
half open, but there also seems to be too much play in butterfly.
Does anybody know if you can buy new butterfly and arm, or
do i need to get the whole throttle housing ???
