Still getting used to my new toy, seems to be a huge gap between 1st and 2nd gear - keep hitting neutral!!! :( the lever is quite low so adjusting it would make it too low, anything else i can do??

Also throttle is a bit slack, prob needs adjusting but do i need to wait until the tank is off or is there a central adjuster??? annoying when trying to be smooth with the gas!

:thumb2

Take the starter motor cover off to get to the gearshift splined shaft and clamp. When you've got the clamp off to move to best position, check that the gearshift lever moves smoothly and isn't gunked up.
The throttle slack adjuster is at the twist grip end.Leave the throttle body ends well alone.

The "big gap" takes a bit of getting used to:D BMW use a very positive neutral indent and the gearchange is a fair bit heavier. When changing up sometimes a mini "blip helps, and wait until you are nearly stopped before going down into 1st. BM's are receptive to using half the clutch movement as well as they have a very quick decelleration rate that goes with the single plate clutch.

S'funny that a pair of BMW Savanna boots helped me...:D
