Hello
Can anyone recommend the best light upgrade for the 1150.
Also what are the best side/ fog lights and who sells them

Cheers

Agree. HID on the dip beam. Probably the best modificaiton you can do to an 1150GS. Really pleased wiht mine and will probably at some point replace the main beam with the other I got.

HiD on the dip and then DE's for drive lights a very popular option, pm me for details :thumb2

Micro De (driving not fog) lights

on a Migsel Light Bracket
Is all you will need to compensate for the crap dipped beam.
At least you will see the bends at night
The rest depends on the depth of your wallet

I have the BTBR setup with the addition of FF50,s on main beam
As far as I know he no longer fits them

lights upgrade

if you are lazy, like I is, Adventure Bike Warehoose chaps: HID done for you, excellent service, perfect job and WOW: what a difference! my 1150GSA a revelation in dark.
"Other HID fitters are available" ~~ but nothing but praise for them, for all their work, not just lights, need get some better tea bags though!!

Les Wassall's 50W HID lights for dipped and high beam works great! :clap
2 Years running and no issues at all....
Probably the best mod I did for my 1150GS....:thumb

Hi

Where did you buy the protection parts for the Hella micro De?

He stole them from me, Copied them in stainless, replaced mine when I was not looking and now makes fantastic DE light protectors ! Despite his light fingered ways he does the best light conversion you could wish for and is a true gent ! His misses is lovely too ! :D

Another option apart from the HID kit is the light bars supplied by "how much" on the vendors section on here............ made a huge difference to my bike riding on dark winter Naaarfuck roads over the winter and easy to install even for a complete incompetant like me
