1150 washed and will not start

Maybe I know the reason.

My friend's R1150R could not start after a wash.
Checked like you have done and found no reason.
Connected with GS-911, it showed a fault code:
... oxygen sensor short circuit...
took down the oxygen sensor and used a hair dryer to make the wire dry and retaped wire with insulating tape.
Put the oxygen sensor back.
Turned the ignition on , push the button, it started.

I washed my 1100 and the coil went bad. Replaced and it then started.

Quick update
TPS Coil and air sensor all fine as regards wires and what testing I can do
Petrol was fine (put it in my other bike and the lawnmower and they run fine)
I am off on holiday soon so no time to do any more stuff
I will buy a GS911 and then try again in June

sounds like fuel pressure regulator - ie squirts at atmospheric but not under pressure in the cylinder.

tho why washing it would do that is anyones guess

Under what pressure? It's not a diesel - the injector squirts into the throttle body which is at atmospheric pressure (or if anything under a slight negative pressure during the induction stroke).

Umm - I'm far less technical than everyone else seemingly (What is a TPS?), but do you have an alarm on it by any chance? Just wondered as mine failed to start after I washed it (First time for three years - and I won't be rushing to do it again). Turned out the Meta M357 had failed at exactly the same time

TPS=Throttle Position Sensor.

Good point about the alarm though
