1150gs final drive bearing collapsed

Wow! glad I didn't see that before I did mine! :P

You don't have to remove the final drive to replace the final drive main crown wheel bearing. Just unbolt the cover with the final drive still attached to the bike.

its actually the small bearing at the front of the drive unit where the shaft goes in, that's the bearing and seal that's shot. getting that replaced as well as the larger rear one ( larger one is actually fine but getting I changed anyway when the bikes in bits ).
if they last another 11 year il be happy with that.

bike has 31k not 36 as I thought :)
