Steptoe, I have what I think is an oil leak, somewhere in the engine. Not sure where, not sure how much oil is leaking, just wondered of you could give some advice please? I am thinking of fixing it meself, I have a 7 mm open ended spanner, and a hammer. Only ever replaced the seat before, do you think these tools wil be enuff?

Oh, and specific advice would be great pls. None of that wishywashy crap you normally give.

An oil leak in the engine Is it 10/40 or 20/50 oil that's leaking?

A ball pein hammer will be best if you find what you need to fix the engine.

2. Would it be advisable to have mineral oil leak out before the bike is completely run in?

Oh, its one of them big ones. I can hit things ever so hard with it. Does that help?


I did hit the engine realy realy hard, and now the bloody oil's leaking everywhere

Did I do somefink wrong?

(edit) Oh yes, I forgot, the oil was coming out quite quickly, I take that means it is probably 10/40?
