1150GSA Brake Noise?

Just bought a 2005 1150GSA SE. I have noticed that when either of the breaks is used it makes a whirring noise, whether the bike is stationary or moving. The noise is similar to when my old 1150GS ran low on fuel. It sounds electronic but I’m not sure whether it should make that noise as it didn’t on my previous bike (1150GS).

Any advice is appreciated, Thanks.

Don't panic. Your bike has the servo assisted brakes. These make the noise you are hearing. Sounds exactly like my 2003 1150GS.

When you switch on the ignition, you'll have 2 red lights flashing. When the bottom one stops flashing & goes out, the self diagnostics are finished, now is the time to hit the starter button.

Some people dislike the servo brakes, I have them on mine and get on just fine with them.
