1150gsa engine colour

Looks very nice. Did you do it your self?
Yes. Piece of the proverbial. ;)

You sold it? No way! Looks so 'up to date' better than the triple black 1200. I thought my silver with black engine looked nice but that is lovely. Who did the work on it?
As JB said, I did all my own work on it (and where do you think that BMW got the idea for their Triple Black ;)). :D

I've had three 1150's now, one with a silver engine and two with the black. My experience was that the silver finish was thicker then the black but, BMW appeared to have some finishing problems with the silver coating, especially on the fork brace. Look at most older 1150's with silver paint and it'll be lifting and bubbling all over the place. Look at a black one and it will still be intact. Oh, and Mike, if you're reading this, would you like to paint my spare swing arm and FD bits and bobs black???:thumb

Don't listen to any of the above..

Everyone knows the silver ones are faster and more reliable..

Richard, yes I'll do that for you. I'll PM you nearer the day that I take the Black K1 home. I'll then be picking up the red & yellow one from Exmouth so I we can sort out bringing the parts back with me if that suits you. :thumb2
