12,000 mile service

For what it's worth I seem to recall paying in the region of €450 for the 12K service on my 12 GSA to Joe Duffy's a couple of years back. May be no help at all.:(

i have nightmares about the time i paid 750 for a 18k service on my gs
no tyres or brake pads included:blast:blast:blast

Anybody see the tiger recently??

Tiger is long gone:augie

What is wrong with a bottle of fully synt and a service kit from Motorworks or Motobins? Manuals freely available on the web? Spend the change away on a weekend with your newly serviced bike and return with a grin on your face!:thumb2

PS. I have 78K miles on mine and probably only spent €750 on bits in total!

THATS THE WAY I WOULD LIKE IT TO BE, UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE TO GET THE BMW SERVICE TO HOLD ON TO THE WARRANTY

who told you this?? ive been told that no warranty is invalidated as long as you use genuine BMW parts, this is the case with alot of manufacturers

Platinum is coorect, as long as service is carried out to BMW spec, using genuine parts, warranty is valid.
We have the equipment to carry out the service as required & will be considerably cheaper than your friendly dealer.

Give me a call.

My 40k service will be due in the next month or so can you tell me what this involves and any one give me an idea of costs.I dont think I could afford a dealer price and a contact where I can get it done

Got my last service (6K) done at Mototech. They charged approx £130. Only down side is they cannot turn off the service indicator.
If I was living in the south, would consider not only doing my grocery shopping in the north-based on the Southern BMW dealer price quoted above.

We can now turn off service lights.

Just a moment folks If I remember correctly

To Maintain the warranty it has to be a VAT registered Garage or Mechanic who does the servicing!!

Open to Discussion but I know that's how it works with Landrover and I'm fairly sure messrs Bee Em too from previous discussions!

If it's a 1200 fer feck sake take it to a dealer and keep the chance of good will on it if it's more than 5 years old use who you prefer cos goodwill gets very thin on the ground after that
