1200 RT

I'm not getting either, (deposit on a 1200GSA) but my brother was deciding between the two and he went for the pan. The pan has better performance, and is smoother. It was also a better finish and a nicer bike in our opinion. The RT was a bit cheaper though.
No offence PAL, but after 5 beamers, are you a bit biased?
I met a GS rider in Belfast that swapped bikes with his mate (who had the pan) and he said that the only problem was that the heated grips were too hot!
 
One of the factors for me was the weight of the R1200RT, (and the fact that my feet reached the ground) it's basically the same weight as the old R1150GSA ;)

And as above I agree the quality of BMW (I've had more than a few now), and never had any significant problems with any of them, a lot of minor recal type problems but you almost learn to expect those. The only thing I seem to replace on mine are brake pads and tyres. :thumb
