1200GSA LC ESA harsh suspension

That's very good news, I will be very interested to hear how you get on.

Incidentally, my 2014 bike with the 'white springs' is a less comfortable ride at lower speeds on poorer surfaces than my previous 2013 bike that had the 'black springs' (the pre-steering damper model).

I wonder has anyone at all has complained about a harsh ride from the original 2013 bike with the black springs?
I did. It was very poor.
I'm going to try to get to see them on Saturday morning but as it's BSB at Oulton they're not sure if there'll be any staff there.

I'll let you know.

I take it back - you've learned nothing about the stupid generalisations you make. It really is a case of casting pearls before swine in here sometimes.....

No, no...there's a fair few of us that think he's an 'up his own arse – wanker'.
Thanks Melch, you've saved me a load of typing there pal.

Oh,and Schtum,
Do tell us all some more about your wife's car-you know f**k all about bikes.

You're doing it again......:blast I appreciate you're obviously someone who likes to think they're correct about everything and to suggest that you're making ridiculous generalisations challenges your view of your self. However a more mature and reasoned response to that, rather than an infantile attempt to blame me for it, would be to reflect on your own thought processes. A bit of personal development wouldn't go amiss here. This is primary school playground stuff. Can I suggest you either adopt a more reasoned, thoughtful and mature approach or go and play in the corner by yourself.

Are you Alex Salmond with a BMW? Same shitty attitude. A man who likes the sound of his own voice.

Climb down your own arse Alex. We all have an opinion. Try to comprehend for a change-accept the fact that we don't all share your opinions.
I've been around bikes for many, many years.,ridden all sorts of machines in many different situations and country's. Competed in Road races, ridden Moto X and Enduroe. I do have some input here!

Melch has obviously had previous experience of your blinkered, self righteous opinions and bad attitude -I'm pleased I haven't.

Try to have something to actually say about bikes next time you post. Nothing about your wife's car. Try "Have I got news for you" for the rest of your boring views and comments.

Put your ego away and mind your manners.

Well I think it's time to leave UKGSER. I think I'll head back to the GTR forum. A much less ego filled place it is too. My cat is blacker than yours it is not.

The ESA on my 2014 LC is excellent. The bike quite literally glides across roads which have tied the suspension in knots on my some of my other bikes e.g. the Burnsall - Kettlewell road or Blakey Ridge :clap That includes my 2009 GS MU with ESA

I ride up your neck of the woods often and I'm jealous of where you live. I love North Yorkshire!

It's urban riding where mine's crap, over broken road surfaces, pot holes, grate edges-small sharp stuff. Hit any of the previous when banked and it's a crash waiting to happen.

It is a strange one, as ive done the road to kettlewell and a pal on his fjr1300 riding behind me said he could see my bike literally gliding over the bumps (the surface is bad) and he had to back off quite significantly.

But, hit a slightly sunken man hole cover out of the blue and youd think the front wheel could get buckled.

I dont put it down to cheapness or bmw rubbish however, i must be getting charitable/mug punter.

Just gotta get on with it, im still smiling after every ride. Cheap n nasty is some jap offerings, its still a plush ride just a bit firmer than old and possibly the anakees are contributing a bit.

My GSA, as Sven says, glides over bumps that ties other bikes in knots. I've ridden out to Normandy with a couple of mates and they commented, saying "were you not affected by the bumps on that road coming out of the last village?" I was like "what bumps?" Over the past 35 yrs I've been used to top spec sports bikes and setting the suspension for the road was always a huge compromise. Some of the time the ride was just spot on, other times was like... has my rear tyre got a puncture or is the tyre full of sand?! Most of the time it was quite good, some of the time was brilliant and other times it was like riding in a wheelbarrow. With the GSA I've never been unimpressed. Basically, I'm impressed!!!

I'm in Sorrento at the moment on my honeymoon (we flew here) but yesterday we did the entire Amalfi Coast on a 300cc Vespa; did I wish that I was on my GSA (or S1000RR), or what?! As Arnold said, "I'll be back!"

After a ride last night, I can now report that there's something wrong with my suspension.:blast

Every crest and hump back bridge, the bike has now developed a habit of lifting the front wheel off the ground, and sometimes the back wheel at the same time.:D

Nutty you are naughty, it may be because you had the traction control off and in dynamic mode, oops how do I know that.
