Well after a 10 year gap of owning a BMW GSA, I’m back on a GSA, well actually a 1250 GSA HP TE. My last bike was a ATAS, which was a great bike, but when I bought that, I really wanted a GS, but couldn’t afford it. Over the last 6 months I’ve had some serious health issues, but dealing with them, has slowly put me in a better place. Anyway, unexpectedly I sold my beautiful 1988 RTL250 S Trials bike, which then gave me sufficient funds to revist my interest in the GS/GSA 1250’s. Had a test ride on both, but for me, the GSA suited my type of riding better, with more comfort. So went ahead and ordered a GSA1250 HP TE. 
Well I collected it Saturday, on the way to work, really wanted to get out and ride it that day, but work came first unfortunately. Got out on it Sunday though, pretty cold and overcast, but that didn’t kill my enthusiasm for the bike. As I said, the ATAS is a great bike, but for me, the 1250 GSA HP is a fair bit better, admittedly it’s significantly more expensive, but its kinda of in a different league.
Did 235 miles yesterday and a further 125 miles this afternoon. Absolutely loved every moment, and the connectivity of the TFT is brilliant, using my Neotec II Sena, it was great having my favourite Playlist playing in the background, while talking to my Bro and still able to enjoy the exhaust sound. Just makes my ride that more enjoyable, while exploring the back roads, enjoying the beautiful countryside scenery.
This bike is a masterpiece, such neutral handling, superb 1250 engine, even though I’m still running, its still very quick for me anyway (my days of speeding around everywhere, are long gone), its also very comfortable. I will be fitting SW Motech barback risers, just to give me a more comfortable bar reach, but otherwise its perfect for me.
So I return to the GS once more, and I’m loving it.
