Knutk - I know Arsey can be a little hard to follow at times but he was referring to the chateau as being over 30 years old not his green motorcycle which is nearly new :blast

Nice try.

No-one in their right mind would consider making such an ugly bike with the aerodynamics of a porcupine today.

But a good suggestion though :jes:jes

The H2 is faster than a GS on the Autobahn for sure.
But straight line speed does not interest me as I live for turns and here the H2 is dead slow, heavy & ponderous...
In a straight line a S1000RR is just as fast as the supercharged Kawasaki despite having the same displacement and no forced induction...which makes me wonder what the supercharger is good for as in roll-on the Kawasaki is not faster either...?
If a bike like this I'd rather have a black K1300S...almost as fast but better looking and shaft-drive !
But anyways if you like that ugly beast...enjoy...:beerjug:
To each their own !

Out of the showroom that might be true, but a simple remap on a Supercharged Kawasaki will push that BHP up to 280.

With a few modifications over 320 bhp.

Your S1000RR is dust against that kind of power, in a straight line.

H2 is very tuneable because of the Supercharger. Watch the YouTube on H2 vs other bikes.....

Wasn't the H2 lapping the TT Circuit in super fast times as well?

Hmm, well there is that.

But my ZZR1400 Performance Sport had 210 BHP but shit at tight twisty lanes.

So handling is important, and torque, and traction, and skills, and environment, and weight, and age, and beards, and experience, and setup, and is my point made yet

I will second that , went away to the Pyrenees with a good mate on one , he got in the way and to honest runined the fast flow of the colls and I spent most of the time on the brakes or dropping back to have some fun , until I caught up with him again..
But saying that on the big fast , easy open/ straight roads it was fast . That is horsepower for you , well bikes with loads.

I’m trying to work out who’s the stupidest, CuntK or Boxerslut. It’s a close call.

I’m new to this thread ... can someone summarise save me reading it all !

I'll save you the monotony of reading my reply. start at page 1 :D Don't expect much, this is the WC technical section, an oxymoron in itself.

That’s two cockwombles on the ignore list

You are too harsh on yourself. I mean, one has to smile or have reason to smile every day. This thread is a proper example where baiting and stupidity has reached new levels. Grin inducing if not wincing.

Have you ridden an H2 or followed one being ridden by a competent rider on twisty roads? You rattle on about an XR but I can guarantee you the H2 leaves it behind in all areas apart from pillion comfort and fuel economy.

You also need to look at the style of bodywork and the aerodynamics of the S1000RR compared to the H2 before commenting on straight line performance because they’re different types of bike, one being an out and out race replica and the other being a lardy arsed sports tourer :hide

I’m not biased either because I can afford an H2 but I looked at them at the NEC and decided they’re not for me. The same went for the first supercharged H2 from Kawasaki, I had a look and just didn’t like them so that was the end of it.

Andy, I have to tell you, you have fallen hook, line and sinker for this one.

It's got everything dude :bounce1

There's a Scandi bloke who is very serious and wears high viz on the way to the govt. approved liquor store. He likes WBM's 'cos the dealers sort out all the problems that GS's have.

There's a very fast riding god who rode every motorcycle discipline out there when a schoolboy and gets very shouty very easily. I suspect he's still a schoolboy.
He also fancies me and keeps trying to arrange for me to PM him and meet up. Edit: Oh, and he reckons he owned a KTM Adv but hated it and sold it on after 1000 miles

And then there's this weird Merkin guy who's experience of motorcycling is limited to reading brochures and playing motorcycle racers on his Playstation. He likes black motorcycles and 17" wheels.

Apart form that............mmmmmm........just the usual ukGSer bollox.

It's defo one of the better ones though and well worth your £12 :)

I just like squeezing more lies out of him :D

He thinks he’s a clever little troll but all the best trolls have that skill of looking credible even when you know they’re lying and he’s not got it. I did wonder if it was silly Steve back in a new disguise but even he’s got more intelligence than this dull head.

Now that is a piece of UKGSer history. He was a flying god, not a riding god :D

New 1250 is 5kg heavier than its predecessor - according to that other thread

Cool, we all need heavier bikes, look like BMW have done the same with the 1250, as they have done with the new 850GS................made it heavier

Well done BMW, heavier bikes are the future

To be fair, the entire boxer GS range, from the first oil heads right through to current are too heavy.

At least when the 1200 first came out it had shed a lot of the 1150's weight (over 20kg IIRC?)..........it's just been creeping back on again over the years (just like most of the owners) and is now back to 1150 type weight.

But yeah, agreed, it's not exactly progress is it.

The 2004 1200 GS was a weight saving revelation, now the 1200WC's are heavier than a 1150 already and the 1250 GSA is a fully 10kg heavier now than a 1150 GSA
