Are you sure thats right?Easy enough to check, just point your bike towards a wall and check the top of the beam pattern to see if it is flat, or kicks up one side or the other.
Flat = no issues
Kick up on the right = Euro spec
ditto left = UK spec
The requirement is there so I always carry.....Also the law in a lot of EU countries is to carry a bulb kit which is of no use to any vehicle fitted with full LED lights.![]()

Not sure why you find it odd. BMW bikes have had symmetric beam pattern since at least the first LC models and quite possibly before.I searched the user manual this morning - couldn't find any adjustment for LHD / RHD
seems odd - its quite normal these days you do in the cluster and say which side of the road you want to ride on - and they swap
