I suppose it depends what youre looking for. It is a proper tourer, where as the RT is a sports tourer….apparentlyI did try the wing before I bought a K1600GA. The Wing was ok, but just too sedate for me, it felt ponderous and had little suspension travel as I grounded it over a hump on the test ride! I'm sure it's a cracking tourer, which is what it's designed for, but it just doesn't do it for me as an all round bike.
I sold the GA after two years as it was just too twitchy at 70mph+, which was an issue when doing continental trips, and then bought the RT pictured, which is great for both distance and 100 mile runs out on the weekend.
Good luck with your Wing, it's a lovely bike, and although not for me, I do appreciate it![]()
To me, the wing is more comfortable, more economical, looks better, it’s better for a pillion and it just fits me better.
It’s the top bike if you’re covering big distances, especially in the DCT form.
Oh, it does help that I have a good relationship with my Honda dealer, where as my local BMW dealer is shockingly bad.
Yes, There are down sides though.
The panniers are small, and it’s eye wateringly expensive.
The cost is the reason I won’t be getting another one when I change the bike. I’ll probably drop down to a much inferior bike such as an RT.
