18k service

fluids

so by fluids i guess you mean engine oil and filter
new gearbox and final drive oil
balance throttle bodies
visual check of brake pads and tyres/pressures front and back
don't think they would check and adjust valve clearance for that money
then labour and the dreaded VAT sounds about right
bite there hands off

and of course the magic stamp in the service book :beerjug::beerjug:

18k miles service does not include gearbox or rear drive oil change, but should include checking valve clearances, according to BMW service schedule.

In Irl it is illeagle to quote x vat to retail customers but it is flouted all the time I have won a few arguements on this issue. Its not so bad when they say x + vat but when they spring the vat on you afterwords. JJH

AFAIK it is perfectly legal to quote a VAT-exclusive price. The only restrictions on such pricing (again AFAIK) are in advertising, where the Advertising Standards Authority rules insist that you can only list VAT-exclusive prices in adverts when all/most of your potential customers will be exempt from paying VAT or able to claim it back.

Even without VAT sounds quite good, my dealer charges about £250 for the 18k service so your still about £70 cheaper with the VAT added :thumb2
