My 650 twin is having its 1st 600 mile service at the Bristol Dealers next week. They have quoted about a ton for the service, does this sound right? I always thought it was free labour but pay for parts and oil? When challenged they stated that they now charge as the price of the bikes has come down of late!

Also, any advice whilst the service is being done? Any specific known issues I need them to check out? Up until now I can find no fault with the bike (thats the kiss of death)

I'm sure this has been aired on here before but i've been unable to find any threds.

Clarcks are charging me 95 quid this weekend for an 800gs 6k service so sounds about right to me.

That sounds v. cheap for the 6k service... with a full brake fluid flush... Think my 600 mile for the f650 was about £80 at NOG from memory...

Similar price at CWs in Dorchester, it's not free labour, the dealer just subsidises some of the costs.

£92 at Ocean for 600 mile service, inc 2 coffees and a wash down......the bike, not me!

Thanks guys, seems to be about the going rate then, ddidn't think they'd be any different to other dealers but worth asking...
