Sorry guys - new boy to a GS. Can you tell me what the warning lights should do on start-up - should the ABS light flash whith ignition turned on and then go off when ridden?

Appreciate your help

Jamie

From the riders manual

Hi Jamie,
I'm new as well, so don't worry about the dumb questions:comfort

Page 62 of the riders handbook;
"startup is automatic, and both warning lights will flas together, until the rider reaches approx 3 mph, when they should go out"

Possible errors,
1/ less than 1 sec from turning on the ign to starting can cause the system to get its knickers in a twist. switch off ign and restart.
2/ low battery will cause prob's, so if the lights stay on, the ABS may not function, but a short ride will boost the battery, and an ign cycle will clear the lights.

Ride and enjoy:beerjug:
