Hi all,

I am know nothing about electrics, so please go easy.

I went to get a new set of tyres & for the 1st time (had the bike 2 years & done 4k) it cut out each time i tuned the handlebars both left & right. I removed the tie-wraps holding the harness that leads to both grips & it appears that if I wiggle the harness at the point where the 2 parts meet close to the top of the front shock this causes the issue.

Its such a tight spot i am scratching my head as to what to do. I have had new aftermarket Micron shocks fitted front & back over last winter.

Can any of you guys offer any advise.

Thanks,

Gaz

Check the wiring from the ignition to the harness probably a broken wire also the multi plug on the harness.

Common fault chase the cables from the ignition barrel down into the headstock unwrapping the loom tape, you will most probably find a tight cable tie thats holding the loom generally find a broken wire somewhere near it.

Wiring to the ignition switch from the harness a fair bet. Don’t know if it’s a short set of replacement wiring like the 1150,s . They were an easy repair . Broken wire in there needs finding.

there's a cable tie under the ignition - it's the first one that holds ignition harness to the frame. It's common for one of the wires to break here and produce intermittent fault. Had it myself. Simple fix
