2010 GS question?

Hi
I am going to purchase either the regular GS with the cast wheels
or the 30th anniversary model with spoke wheels. Which would you choose?
Cast wheels or spoke?
I will ride primarily on paved roads.

The spoked wheel look better, but the are a bitch to clean, cost more, add wieght. Spokes on a GS are aimed at riders that will take thiers bikes off road.

If, like most GS riders you rarly go off road (the GS is a bit of heavy beast for anything but basic trails for most of us) then go for the GS and cast wheels.

Hi, for you spokes is for looks, cast for performance on the road.

Pesonally I'm not a riding god, so the looks won it for me over the negligible performance difference. Not easy to clean as has already been mentioned.

I prefer the look of the cast wheels - to me spokes are just so last century, but think they are better for off-road use as they flex a little when stressed rather than snapping - they still look shite though

Reckon the Anniversary will depreciate less than the standard one... and the spoked wheels look the part
