2013 GS WC

Frankly - this positive vibe is dammed annoying. I test rode the WC last week and was very impressed, just loved the way the engine spins up. I would say it beat my current 2011 GS by 8 goals to 2, but all the nay sayers on here had convinced me not to buy one. Now I am confused again.

Most of the naysayers on this forum don't own the bike and never liked the fact that BMW made a step change in improvement with the engine and a few other aspects of the bike.

Such a comprehensive re-design has had a few teething faults and BMW has largely sorted each owner out, but this has been a forum to air understandable frustrations felt by those users and there are a well known few non-owners who love to fan the flames.

I think there have also been a number of early bikes taken back by dealers or sold by riders because of their faults, that have ended up in the second hand market without being properly repaired. So that has increased the noise.

But a lot of GS's have been sold, and this is a place to bring problems and hence there are bound to be tales of woe.

Like most owners I've been lucky and faults have been minor or of my own making, even my gear box is snickety slick. So in my view you can buy a new GS WC with confidence and a secondhand one confidently so long as you take the the time to test ride it to ensure it wasn't one of the faulty ones.

This is a stonking bike. The best I have owned and one I believe most owners will recommend.

I have done the whole K1200s, K1300s, second K1300s with quick shifter, K1300GT etc, now got a 63 plate GSLC would not swop it for the world. Only thing wrong - not enough hours in the day :-)

2013 WC fitted with everything excepting LED headlight, first GS I've ever owned but won't be my last. Gearbox a bit harsh but otherwise a hoot and so comfortable, get one now.....:D
