2014 GSA TE or 2016 GSA base model

If you don't ride in the dark, go for the XE and save the cost of the LED headlight.

There are plenty of folk who want a less complicated bike secondhand though.

I went for a base model GS + heated grips + ESA and saved a couple of grand. In retrospect, now it's come out of warranty, I wouldn't have bothered with ESA as it's a bit harsh at times.
 
This is the easiest decision ever. Buy Nutty's bike...it will be better than new, spend £600 over the next 2 years on extended warranty if you must and save a packet plus have the best specc'd GSA out there.

That is what I would do without question if I were in the market for the inferior Chinese BMW. Fortunately I have a lovely TC.

Simples.
