Looking at purchasing one of these machines. It is an early model, April registration date. Anything in particular to look out for? Has BMW subtly changed something over the year?

yes they have.

heated grips hotter - 5.5 Ohm resistance
throttle rolls easier on new 2015 model
heavier flywheel, engine revs nicely at low end

The main issue between the 14 and 15 model is the heat coming from the grips . Bmw upgraded them on the 15 model, the 14 models heat from them is weak . If you don't ride on cold mornings , It will not affect you at all , go and get the bike and enjoy it if the deal is right

Switch gear on the early models seem to fail , had my left side swapped under warranty as cruise stopped working . Otherwise Great bikes :beerjug:

+1 ON 2015 HEATED GRIPS rode 2015 last week amazing heated grips compared to my 2014 GSA AJ,s say they can't be upgraded or changed to new 2015 grips but its all over US forum that it can.Guess BMW UK are just not wanting to exchange grips under warranty IMHO they are not fit for purpose on 2014...

Don't forget the black plastic heel guards on the 15 lc.
Excuse my ignorance.... Are you saying you need them OR are they now fitted as standard. I have ordered a GSA which is due to be built this week so was wondering what "extras" to buy and someone mentioned heel guards are a must. Thanks.

Heel guards - changed from alloy to plastic on the 2015 model.

Heavier flywheel on the 2014 GS ???????
