Hi, I’m looking for some help please….2015 r1200rt wet head 11500 miles.
The problem started soon after leaving home for a ride, bike running fine until it started to splutter and lose power similar to limp mode, decided to head back home….just got home when the bike stalled, hot smell noticed and has failed to start since….
This is a list of what I’ve checked/replaced so far…
New battery and spark plugs, spark test carried out all ok
Connected to gs-911 no faults shown.
Syphoned out fuel and replaced with new
Checked valve timing and gaps, all within spec.
Compression test 162 psi on both cylinders so that’s ok.
Removed injector and cranked over… fuel spray from injector
Replaced camshaft position sensor just in case gs-911 not registering fault..
Called out RAC…. patrol guy who was totally at a loss as to why bike not firing up.
Sprayed easy start into air intake…slight splutter fire up but refusing to start.
I’m now planning on removing the tank and replacing the fuel controller and pump even though no faults showing and fuel at injectors.
Any advice or ideas.. gratefully received
