2016 gsa te compared to 2017 model ?

It's the normal GS that has new body work. The GSA has the same body work as previously, but Euro 4 spec (which applied to all GSAs from August 2016).
So it will look the same as your old one but with a less clunky gearbox and slower engine :D;)

oh right, thanks for the info :beerjug:

So, being a bit thick, as I am! Mine is a late september registered GSA, so mine will have the newer gearbox but NOT hillstart. Is that about right?

Does it have reflectors on the front forks ?
if yes then it is mechanically the same as a new bike apart from some plastics around the radiators and some electronics (Hill start)

slower engine ?
is the bhp down or something ?

I will be putting my after market exhaust on when its run in so should it make it the same as my 2016 on bhp ?

Read today that the new look 2018 will be launched November. As many on this site have said before, a triple black model always signals a new design is around the corner.

Where did you read that at, any info on what to expect

excuse my ignorance but what is a TB ?
I thought that was a disease ? lol

Triple Black.

I actually prefer the looks of the 2016 GS compared to the 2017 model so I'm not counting on improved looks for the 2018 GSA.

I do like the 2017 to be honest but they are getting very pointy to which the GS / A never was till recent years

Yes it has reflectors on the forks.

Yes, I changed my Sep 2015 to a Dec 2016 with all the mods. All things considered the transmission is smoother however (is it just me) the power feels a little down! The quick shifter was supposed to make a vast improvement, but I would say it makes only a very slight improvement. For comparison try an RT, now you are talking supper smooth changes and I don't see why that can't be achieved on the GS. I have just done 1300 miles on this on so maybe it improves, I doubt it though.

I still love it though!

I actually opened up my 2016 gsa today for the 1st time and it was bloody quick

I'm hoping my new 2017 is as quick as I loved it and was on endure mode with abs off
