2017 KTM Adventure Range.

It's the size that kills it for me, not really much smaller than the standard abomination that KTM fit. Given the end can makes little/no difference to performance it maters little how much KTM and Akra have worked together?

I agree with Cookie re Wings (but then I would as I have one ;) ).

Andres

Think you'll find the size is dictated by Euro 4 !!
I doubt your Wings will be much smaller next year !

The wings doesn't comply with any standards so technically not legal. They do seem to be well made and look good though.

I'd rather have something legal that works . Akra s are sold through KTM and have proven performance gains and won't fuck up your warranty

Yep I agree.

Are you sure you wouldn't be better off with a BMW? ;)

Andres

Had Akras on my previous 990 Superduke and 690 SMR but would not put one on a 1190/1290.

Easy to get "legal" end cans at a fraction of the price which IMO look better ;)

My Arrow works for me :D

Anyway, back to the new bikes.......I'm pleasantly surprised at the prices considering the specs & the exchange rate.
I wonder when the 1290 Super Adventure S will be available..........??

Probably March like most of their new models. That's just a guess though.

Yes should be March. That's what I've been told for 1290R

Just checked the Spec on the 1090 - same capacity, bore and stroke as the 1050 - but 25 more bhp.. Must be the ECU - wonder if I could get a 1090 map on the 1050?

Saw the 1290S in the flesh yesterday in Cologne and it's a nice piece of kit. Dash is really easy to read although the layout doesn't seem to have changed for the rest of the bike controls, ie menu switch etc.
It's also got alloy wheels which is a big plus!

Gotta be worth asking :)

You want an R really though.......don't ya, don't ya......g'ooooooon! :D

Andres

Doesn't make sense for the 1050. It is what it is because it is learner legal in the EU. It is no longer legal if it gets those HP figures therefor it's a pointless bike!

It's a pointless bike then

Fed up with the GT already?

The total opposite, my GT is faultless, I ride for fun and the 1290 engine has blown me away such a versatile bike with massive grunt, the whole package is bloody great, going to spain on it sealed the deal as to why I want to buy another ktm.

There's a 1050 in my local dealers for £7600, 250 miles on the clock. I'd be interested if that map can be transferred too
