AS for the 1260 MS being shit - I'm with Stick ! The saddle is like a banana and forces you in a single position.Not good if you like to hang-off...As for the new Volkswagen V-4 Multistada which is an all new beast I like 170hp and 60K ilometres valve adjustment intervals But why only 125 nm torque as also still the bloody bicycle chain and stone age fork... But at least the De$mo B.S. as also belt driven cams costing high maintenance bills are gone...
All the GS needs is 170 hp which is easy for BMW while it is much harder for KTM and Ducati to convert their bikes to proper front-ends and drive-shafts....
2 more years and we get the M1300GS that will take care of all of it...

I was tempted by the RS660 but want to get g/f back on 2 wheels and she wouldn’t want to ride the Aprilia as too new and worried she drop it.
The Benelli is just cheap shit for me to fuck about on and hopefully for her to get her confidence on 2 wheels back.
I’m not a Honda lover.
I happen to own one,but I have 4 other bikes of various brands.I’ll buy what I feel like buying. No brand loyalty at all,which I guess you don’t understand,having bought the BMW blinkers and swallowed the pill.

No Arsey I did not have swallowed any pill but the 1250GS is the best bike for the road period as the S/M 1000RR the best for the track...I love boxers and S1000RR's for the track I admit and like BMW as it is a traditional german manufacturer that brought the fight back to the japanese and beat them in their own game...
I also will say the R18 is fake and won't be a success because Harley guys will only buy Harleys and BMW guys will never buy Harleys that are heavy and underperforming but will buy them now because the cylinders stick out to the side and the belt is replaced by a driveshaft...As also a F750/850/900 with a chinese made motor is never a BMW but an embarrassment for a brand that starts with a B as in bayerische or berliner Motoren Werke...At least call that p.o.s C MW!
But I guess people will even buy fake Triumphs that are made in Thailand because it means more profit for the owners or stock owners.I would never buy a fake Thai-umph as a fake BMW with a taiwanese made engine.
As also I think BMW needs to get their heads out of their asses and bring us another sport-boxer in tradition of the R90S and later R1100S as the R1250RS with fork instead of Telelever sucks...If you ride a GS and then switch to a RS you know what I mean and then switch back visa versa on a test-ride you knew what I mean...
As also the new S1000R and XR should have 1100 or 1200 ccm to have more power and torque compared to their predecessors...See Arsey critique is were critique is due and even the GS is not perfect and should get 160 hp to have a more fun top-end as also the exhaust under the seat for 2 same size bags...Then it would be close to perfect...
As also the R Nine T as nice as it looks and sounds the old R1200R was a much better bike with Telelever,factory luggage and centerstand...
See Arsey you can accuse me of a lot of things but not of being a blind brand-centric fanboy as a lot of these Harley,Ducati and KTM clowns on their boutique brands who even tattoo the marketing B.S. and propaganda on their skin...
I just pegged you wrong that you were on of these Honda-Fanboys from the heydays when Honda build the best bikes and had the best quality and then you can see it is Marquez and not the bike that is the best as the same Honda under brother Marquez or Bradl who actually beat Marquez in Moto2 days is only good for last places...

Bmw is far from traditional now and you do realise 75% of the components on your new GS are manufactured in China. Bmw like many other companies outsource and buy volume there assembly plant is the only German part in the process.

Ding-Dong I realize a lot of components come from China unfortunately...But 75% it way to high as engines,frame,exhaust,electronics as fuel-injection/ABS/TC are sourced in Germany or europe...As far as I know the wheels come from China hence the recall with loose spokes...But the U.S. sourced Hayes calipers which feel better than the Brembos as in firmness/less freeplay can leak and I hear get replaced by Brembos on the 2021 recall...I just don't like stuff from China as it means lower wages for all of us.No CMW F750/850/900 for me...But Triumph is already in Thailand,as Harley produces there too which is a joke considering the prices they ask...Globalism...buy low sell high... I don't care if a japanese brand produces their lower cc bikes in Thailand as they are cheap bikes...But so called premium brands should produce in their homelands ! Everything else is fake...And I don't care if BMW makes their car engines in Austria or the U.K. even if I would prefer Germany because they are called Bavarian and not Austrian or British Motor Works but at least they are still made in europe and not some third world country to make a quick buck on the back of the workers for a few fat shareholders...It is time that the pendulum swings back in favor of the working man !
