I love what they have done, making more off road focussed. Little things like the higher front mudguard get thefrom me, but it is expensive.

Am I being mean to be sad that they didnt re-design the screen whilst they were at it ?

The correct comparison is the KTM 890R Rally, £20,899 + Teck Pac. Both bikes probably way overkill for british green lanes and more suited for a trip to Morocco / TET.

The KTM 890 has a reputation of cam failures amongst other problems. Months sat waiting for back ordered parts. KTM 7/890, great bikes to ride but a lottery ownership wise.

Still loving mine.

I don't have to ride it. Just the occasional peep in the garage makes me smile. Such a great bike.

And, I believe, some people have gone past the speed limit on theirs!!!

I’d hate the idea of being stranded and needing to remove wheels and attack with tyre levers .
