2024 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE R

my brother had the earlier model , left my 1190 adv standing. Bit of a hooligan machine although apparently was ok for "touring" on.

Had a look at them today at Judd Racing - and in the flesh think they look good - particularly the black colour scheme.

Not in the market for a super naked but will be interesting to see how they use the new engine in the Super Adventure line up.

Excellent. Pushed the price down on 1290R (though KTM are terrible causing depreciation with their discounting methods) hey ho. Just bought a Super duke, 4 year warranty, tech pack, comfort seats, heated grips for a cracking price. 0 kilometres, unregistered.
Bye bye hernias from moving the GS around the garage.

All manufacturers discount when they have old stock to shift quick, even BMW do it with free deposits, luggage & low rate finance shaving thousands of a GS.

Mate lost £7k in 18 months on a 1200GS Rallye, dealer would not even take it back, had to flog it privately.

Had I paid full whack for my 1190 when I bought it in 2016 I would have still lost less in the 4 1/2 years I owned it than he did - stopped him banging on about how my KTM depreciates way more than his BMW's :-)

175.6 bhp

Yeah but it needs a bigger tank and boxes and ….

I am almost deffo going to be having one of these

I am persuaded by the fact that I can have luggage

Thats a joke about the luggage

Perfect tourer ;)

That is pretty much how I will spec one
Those side bags actually look very good and no frames to mess with and quite cheap ( relative ) the tail pack thing I would swap for a Kriega tho as I already have a few of those

Oh and the Michelin cups would be replaced as I doubt they would last a Spain/Portugal trip

I’m hoping they don’t bring out an old man’s GT version of it because the temptation might become overwhelming.

They will lose all grip and have you bouncing through the nearest hedge as soon as a cloud appears on the horizon, be lucky to get to the ferry crossing before they killed you.

Yes indeed
Very good in the dry once warmed up ( which takes a while)
I have a set of Bridgestone S23 booked just before I head off to Spain at the end of June

I have gone S23 as they seem to be the tyre of choice and OE on the 1290 and my mate with a 1290 rates them

KTM only went for the michelins to save 1.2KG of unsprung weight allegedly
