Chris Northover in his Eicma review says circa 185kg 'wet'. It's not ideal to be honest however it looks like cruise control will be on it - not sure how much that gubbins will weigh - but CC is a welcome addition to a bike that will travel.
In 2019 I bought a 790 Adv R for trails/TET. Sold it a couple of years ago or more. I never got to do TET Spain which was the plan, mainly because of Covid, but with hindsight I'm glad I didn't take it. At circa 203kg wet without luggage I would've struggled. By the time I'd have picked that up by myself a few times I'd have been shot. YT has loads of videos of guys with Tenere types who struggled, even with a riding mate, to keep picking the bikes up. And no question about it, the larger the bike you take there, the more you will be lifting it out of ruts, hedges and steep inclines. Longwinded way of saying that I'm glad I took the Honda 300 Rally. So capable and benign. 75% of the times I dropped it was because I put my foot down when stopping only to find the ground was lower than I was expecting. It happens when you do hour after hour of trails and get tired

At those times even the Rally started to get heavy and late afternoon a couple of times I had to unload the luggage first. The Rally is claimed 153kg wet - mine definitely isn't. By the time you add bars/bashplate/rugged tyres/toothbrush holder bla bla, I bet its more like 160/165kg or more wet. So if the KTM is 185kg that's a lot more. I hope it ends up weighing less, but I can't see it being around 150kg's like the duke. Time will tell.
