***NEW*** 2026 Honda CB1000 GT crossover leaked images give a glimpse of what Honda might be unveiling at EICMA show next month. It very much looks like a Hornet 1000 with 17" wheels to take modern rubber, big suspension and weather protection.

Based on the tried and tested Hornet 1000 platform, the GT looks to share much of the engine and chassis (just like the recently announced 2026 122bhp retro CB1000F) and is reported by Motorrad Magazine via Australian homologation filings to retain the full fat 150bhp engine with a total wet weight of over 220kg – thats about 15-20kg lighter than the NT1100. The wheelbase is half an inch longer than the Hornet.

Expect a quickshifter, cruise control, and – if it's anything like the Hornet – a very competitive price point that'll likely undercut the the BMW S1000XR, Kawasaki Versys 1100 and Suzuki GSX-S1000GX by a huge chunk.

A modern day CBF1000...which was by all accounts, a good all rounder...but unloved in the UK. They always seem to get exhausts so wrong these days tho...it looks terrible.

I think Honda have missed a trick with their timing. The new Ducatis fill the gap that Honda left open over the past few years. Unless they can compete on price point, I suspect they might struggle in the market.

Judging by their recent bikes, I reckon they’ll do very well if it comes in at a sensible price.
What Ducati is it competing with? Multi V2 ?

If so , the base V2 is £14495 and I bet the Honda will be more like £13k and putting out a supposed 150 bhp to the Multi’s 114.
I know which one I’d go for !

I don’t think the Multis fill the gap because they are far expensive!

Direct alternative to Suzuki's GSX-S1000GX (catchy name, that). Old but good engine and a riding position suited to the older rider that can still get their leg over. Depending on what tech they fit, it could sell for between £11-12k as the Hornet SP is at £10,100. Should be a winner.

On paper very similar but the GX has proved rather underwhelming and a poor seller.
Not helped by a rather buzzy motor, crap OE tyres and wooden brakes.
Shame really as the donor motor from the 05 GSXR1000 is a beaut.

Hopefully Honda will do a better job though I still think the CB1000F may interest me more as this new GT will be encroaching on what my Wing does sublimely. .

You could have bought one of these years ago with simler bhp and looks and weight;; a mk1 fazer 1000 with the R1 engine in it;; not only that the Mk 1 fazer was better than the mk 2;; both vastly underrated bikes.

I went to buy a GX a few weeks ago, the thing that put me off was the Tech guys inability to connect my phone and headset to the bike, !! so I bought a Africa Twin Adventure sport which I know, and know the tech works the Suzuki guy said its shite I can never get mine to connect properly !! Im hoping for an update soon that makes it work,
I Phoned the 2 Honda dealers I buy from re one of these but no info till the Milan show, if the price is right and its got the same tech as the NT1100 and Africa twin Ill order one as I think it will be just what im looking for

But 146bhp and a very good base spec with rear panniers (37l left and 28l right), cruise control, heated grips, hand guards, a centre strand, and quickshifter coming as standard. A full suite of lean-sensitive electronic aids are controlled via a 5in glare-resistant TFT dash, with backlit controls on the left-hand switch cube and mobile connectivity.

I think the red/black option looks ok in those photos. Would need to see it in the flesh to make a decision. IMHO a quantum leap over the white in the earlier pics doing the rounds, that really did make it look as dull as the proverbial ditchwater.
With the CB1000F looking good, there’s now 2 possibles for me in the Honda lineup when it comes to bike change time.
