2026 CB1000F

As with all these modern naked bikes the looks are spoiled by the water hoses on view, can’t the designers hide them .I don’t remember the Suzuki GT750 having its hoses routed around the side of the engine .

That's one of the reasons I like the look of my air cooled 1100 Monster, clean and narrow. The engine on Ducati models since look like the back of a washing machine with a horrible radiator stuck on the front.

More of an issue on naked bikes of course where the engine is in full view, nobody cares what the engine on a faired bike looks like

Seems the headlight cowl is only available if you go for the black bike

The headlight cowl for the black bike is £400 in UK.
The same cowl but in silver in Japan is £480 !

Bit weird with the bikes being about £3k less but accessories more expensive .

Weird !

It’s not availability separately on the French one under ‘Design’ unless you choose black, same as UK

Ah, I see what you mean, that is weird, you can only have it in silver as part of the sport pack but in black you can have it separately, which is better in my opinion

Maybe it will change, could speak to your dealer if you want one, it could just be a glitch

That little fairing/screen thing looks like it had a bucket as its design inspiration. The rest of the bike looks so good but that fairing... :barf

Such a shame they ruined it like that. I'm sure aftermarket suppliers will do a better job. Something to really take the strain off to make it into a bike to tour on and not just to pose on. Other than that, 10/10

Be sure to let Honda know of their mistake .
FFS, why didn’t they consult the experts on UKGSER before making this clanger 🤦

Everyone will have their opinion. That fairing does look shit IMHO. The fairing option on the new Suzuki 800 retro looks rubbish in my opinion too. You might like it, who gives a monkeys?

Are you saying that manufacturers never get it wrong? That their designs are always faultless?

Or perhaps that no one (other than you, perhaps) is allowed an opinion?

In 1878, Margaret Wolfe Hungerford first said that "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Was she wrong?

Are you saying that just because you don’t like the design, they got it wrong ? It just might be possible that some people like the design .

No, I'm saying that in my opinion, which I freely admit is worth very little, it's ugly. Sales of with/without will tell whether they got it wrong. It wouldn't be the first time Honda have got things wrong, if wrong it is. I give you the CTX1300, the DN-01 and the chocolate camshafts of early VF/VFRs.

Fair enough but the DN-01 was fabulous

Without the fly screen it’s old school but I like the idea of the it. Form over function.

£9k for the standard Hornet so an extra £1.5k for this ‘version’. Similar to the GSX8S vs the TT. Are fancy clothes worth the extra?
I’d say yes in the case of the Honda.
