20w50 engine oil

hi folks,

I have a query regarding engine oil types for my bike. It has had an oil change by the previous owner who used 20w50 engine oil - it now needs topping up.
I am not sure what 'grade' of 20w50 engine oil was used, ie fully synth, semi-synth or mineral.

i have been able to only find motul 3000 4T 20w50 oil, but it says that it is motor oil mineral.

My quesion is can i use this oil even though it says that it is 'motor oil mineral' on the bottle?

I do not know enough about engine oils and last i wanna do is put the wrong type of oil in the engine and wreck it.

yes you will be fine with that oil, its the best for your bike

by the way its a 1150gs, not a gs1150

All (SAE/API spec) engine oils mix ok, so it's not critical what type or grade is already in there. Lack of oil will do much more harm than mixing. I have no pedantic grammar point to make.

Errm - 'posession' has nothing to do with it. 'A' and 'An' are indefinite articles that have nothing to do with tense.

It's an eleven fifty GS. Numbers transpose to the pronounced words for grammar purposes.

If you'd quoted it (it was me) before I deleted it then you would have seen that I said it was an R1150GS, not a R1150GS...
