25000 mile service

I need a 25000 mile service on my 07 1200GS and I dont really want to pay£450. I live in Hull. Is there anyone recommended that can do it nearby?
( remember because I live in Hull, you dont have to)

You could also do it yourself and save a packet?

Do it yourself mate it is a real doddle and you will save a small fortune. Hardest part is checking valve clearances (i got a mate to do mine). Plenty of vids on youtube

Thre options.
1) DIY
2) Part DIY, ie change oils etc. and get someone to do fiddly bits
3) Ride to Sleaford and get Scrimingers to do it for you.

I've never understood why people pay to have these bikes serviced once out of warranty. The ease of maintenance was one of the factors that drew me to BMW in the first place. Sure there are some things that may need specialist dealer only tools, but all fluid and filter changes, valve gaps, spark plugs, brakes, are fairly easy to do.
If not confident to do these yourself perhaps finding a good local independent like Steptoe will do the jobs cheaper than a main agent.
