I have to agree but not sure what else I could do but accept there explanationSounds like BS as they always tie a name tag to the key so they know which key fits what bike so the sales person will have known it wasn’t the demo bike.
Apart from this ,they've been good over the 10 years I've been a customerSo was it not AJs who allowed someone to take your bike home ?. --Two days running.
I hope you got that in writing in case there's any nasty letters in the next two weeks!I have to agree but not sure what else I could do but accept there explanation
MmmmSounds like BS as they always tie a name tag to the key so they know which key fits what bike so the sales person will have known it wasn’t the demo bike.
Bingo!!! Just as I thought it would be the case.A salesperson took my bike home on Friday and Saturday by mistake instead of the identical demo bike, plus 5 miles was on road test.
Allegedly....
I have been compensated to my satisfaction.
Still not happy though to be honest but what else can I do,I've accepted the apology, time to move on.
I've gone over the bike with a fine tooth comb inc the tyres ,no sign of any damage or wear.
No I guess there isn’t much else you can do and of course you will never know if he thrashed the guts out of it or not, and as has been said above; you could get a nasty letter in the post at some point.I have to agree but not sure what else I could do but accept there explanation
Do you believe that?A salesperson took my bike home on Friday and Saturday by mistake instead of the identical demo bike, plus 5 miles was on road test.

BingoMmmm
From my experience this just can't happen
Demo keys would be in a key safe in the Sales Office and customers keys would be retained, in a different key safe, in another part of the building known as Service Department.
Plus the key tags (advising registration & model) would be a different colour/type just so this kind of thing can never happen.
I find it highly unlikely and told them that and I had to phone them.Do you believe that?
Incidentally, would they have ‘owned up’ to the extra 50 miles …if you hadn’t alerted them to it?
Did they phone you on the Monday…to apologise? Or did you have to phone them ?
Wasn’t last Friday really wet?
Is your bike dirtier than if it was collected and returned in the van, as initially agreed ?
Why would there be a nasty letter - i don t understandI hope you got that in writing in case there's any nasty letters in the next two weeks!
Ok that explainsSpeeding ticket….
