Hi all,
Your knowledge and experience is required. I have a 2610, and am trying to get all the maps onto a single CF card. So from other threads I discover a 2Gig will do it.

So new 2Gig CF purchased and installed and when I try and download the maps I can get about 200M befor this message comes up telling me I only have 177Megs left :nenau

Anyone else experienced this or knows what I’m doing wrong???
Is there a way you can see what memory you have available on the 2610 itself.

Thanks in advance o knowledgeable one’s :bow

HI put the compact flash card in a compact flash reader, and the computer will see it as another drive, select this drive from my computer, right click, properties and you are off!!!the contents of the card will be shown, or use windows explorer.
i push my maps into the card this way, i understand you can put them in through the 2610, but i just post them straight into the card.my compact flash card reader is part of my epson r300 printer.bought my 2 gig card off ebay 12 quid!!
regards Paul

Had this problem myself, you probably need to format the memory card, there are a couple of options you want FAT not Fat 32 I believe but this has to be done in a card reader.

Yes, I'll second that. Format your card to FAT format :thumb

All done and dusted via card readers etc.

Thanks for the advice guys
