Thanks Val
Staying in Kirkmichael where Moo lives so should get that sorted. Was over in 2005 on a 'blade and before that in the 90s (and before that as a kid because my grandfather was Manx).
Don't think I will be going too hard as the engine is effectively new and needs a TLC running in - but at least I will be there. There is talk of large areas of the mountain with traffic calming cones although I don't know exactly where.
Last time I was out on Mad Sunday some guy in front of me on a Ducati decided to take it off-road up the bank just after Kates Cottage on the way down to Creg-ny-Baa. Never could understand what caused it but suddenly he was half way up the bank. Nobody hurt but I had to take some serious avoiding action to prevent hitting him or the bike as he slid down the road.
If I do a proper run out on the Mountain it will be early morning or late evening. Much quieter then with a few
after.
Cheers
Neil
