Balderstone's charge top dollar, new tyre, brake clean, not much change from £300 I suspect.

My LC is my third new 1200GS from them and I have always been treated very fairly - I have no problem recommending them to anyone in the area.
Where are you getting your oil from, can't see how you are getting BMW approved oil for that money?

It's only castrol fully synthetic oil an opie oils is where its way cheaper than your dealer![]()

Not much has changed there then davy£150 from memory and that included oil over the rear wheel

Ive just checked the Opie oil web site but they dont list Castrol 5w-40 which is the correct spec for the Lc
They only stock 10w-40 or 10w-30 this is not the correct spec oil you will find it is half the price of the 5w-40 oil.
I have used Opie oil in the past and have found thier oil reasonably priced.
Terry
I tried using a similar Rock Oil in my K1300R, BMW said they wouldn't cover the engine if I had a problemSo I had to stick to Castrol

Was it the dealer who said that or BMW themselves? If the Rock Oil met the specs in the owners handbook then they would not be able to turn down any engine related warranty claims.

BARGAIN ...you should try owning a ducati.

As long as the oil meets the requirements listed in the handbook then the manufacturer doesn't matter. The only exception that I could see to this is if BMW changed the specification from the original handbook spec and then informed every owner.
