600 mile service costs

I believe Andrew has now spoken to you regarding your service cost issue and tells me he has positively resolved it to your satisfaction. If this is not the case for any reason, please tell me.

I apologise that you needed to raise it on this forum in the first place, but glad you did otherwise we would not have been aware.

Just a quick note:clap regards the service i received today from Benham, with due respect to the staff at Benham, from the time I initially purchased my bike right through to the 600 mile service, i cannot fault their service, their customer care or their attitudes and knowledge. I have found all staff to be extremely knowledgable, they have offered me nothing but good advice and a brilliant service. I also went to other local dealerships but did not get the deals and benefits as I was offered at Benham.
In the future whenever I want BMW servicing and or accessories in the future, i will not hesitate to call at Benham first.
They also do a great cup of coffee but the chocolate is much better and is offered FREEEEEEEE. :clap

Why did I allow myself to be sucked in ?

After passed experiences of this stealer's incompetent staff, I made a vow that I would not be entertaining them again, however having cooled down & read some positive comments from others & requiring a BMW part I rang said parts department this morning, " Yes sir, the part will be in later this afternoon". Oh, that was easy, I can get my bike back on the road tonight.

I took time off from work and travelled the 15 miles to collect the part.
Guess what on my arriva,l "Who told you the part would be delivered today sir, oh no its on order and will take 5 days".

But couldn't someone have rang me to tell me that as they had all my contact details and thus avoided me rushing across the black country in peak traffic ?

Who do I blame, " Me, for having a belief that things would change" :mad::mad::mad:

IIRC only Battersea have same day orders for items not in the dealer. Order early in the morning and if BMW UK (Bracknell?) have it in stock it'll be at Battersea mid-pm.

I am assuming that's the service they thought they were offering, I was taken aback when I was informed the parts would be in that same day, bit of staff training & supervision would not be wasted on these guys or would it:blast
 
:jager i had to wait two weeks for parts promised again & again ! Then i finally got my final drive back it might be of interest to people the sales man comes from ikea . The meachanic was fixing minis bmw . Last year ! Great team ! The only thing they can do is promise to let u down !

seem like alot of people bellyakeing over nothing some people have had good servis others poor:blagblah cant see the problem miself :confused: just think of your 6000 mile and 1200 mile costs before you commit to any dealer :blast if your happy with them ok if not just take custom elswere :nenau not mutch between any of them if you ask me they all take your money for little return its just nice when you can take it back when they f**k it up under warranty:D all over priced thats bmw has been for years:bow just hit it with a big hammer costs about the same in the longrun:augie

which bit ? that i was ok with servis allthough it seems im one of the few or hit it with a hammer you t**t if you have a comment make it cleer:barf

3 weeks i waited for a trivial part from that dealership in b-ham only to arrive on a monday to find closed every one else was open is that cleer enough for you seems like you have as much sence as the muppets with the diff and toenails 2 weeks for a diff seems ok to me its old tw** ok

Most bike shops are closed on a Monday and certainley all BMW one are:thumb
 
I am not a BMW engineer but have built race engines routinely fix quite sophisticated equipment and my company is VAT registered

If you have your own company - why not support another company to carry out the work? :augie

Good morning

I have left a message for you this morning.

We can indeed get most parts the same day if ordered before 12.00 from BMW. In your instance, unfortunately, the part arrived with us after you had visited to collect it. Our fault, not yours because what we should have done is said to you that we would call to confirm it was in before you made your journey. This would then avoid a wasted journey if there were anything untoward happen to the delivery lorry.

With regard to the 5 days order comment, because the part had been dispatched to us it showed on the system as 'red' and incorrectly, the parts advisor read this as a part that was on backorder, hence 5 days to arrive.

Either way, we inconvenienced you when we could have avoided this and I totally understand the annoyance and frustration this caused. I am happy to deliver the part to you this morning with an appropriate discount applied and will speak to you later.

Please accept my sincere apologies.

Hi

We open on Mondays and will also be open 7 days a week from 1 March. We only don't open on Sundays during the winter period. Service and parts are open Mon-Sat.

Hope that helps clarify.
