If you mean 6 thousand mile service, then probably 'no' is the answer. In Blighty, mine was £190, so taking about 2 dollars to the pound makes it $380.

I paid £80 for both my 600 mile services (£80=$160 roughly) so i would say you have been done.:spitfire

Did my own oil change and was charged $159 in atlanta. Others have paid more than you for the first service. Depends on where you get it done. The other dealer in atlanta would have charged much more. Learn how to DIY for future services, it is very easy.

I've heard of people paying £250 ($500 US), so don't feel too hard done by.

1st service

I paid £220 ($440) for my first service, at Coopers Tonbridge, bought from Oxford BMW, they wanted similar money, I phoned around 4 dealers and they wanted similar money. I could not find it any cheaper!

BVM, Stroud, Gloucestershire, they charge no where near that for the first service on my GSA, Im sure I payed around the £80 mark with vat. Great guys to deal with.

How do you find the Atlanta store as I called in September and found them not so friendly as well expensive.

Your service sounds expensive if you did the oil change.

Just had my 600 mile service done at SLM. Cost was £100.

Still a rip off, as my gixxer cost about £50 last year.

If i had another new bmw would haggle for it to be free before i brought the bike .my 05 was free it was a stelth price rise

BVM quoted £50 plus materials for the 600 on my new GSA, that's apparently slightly subsidised as I bought the bike there.

I had my first 600 miles service at John Clark Dundee Scotland :bounce1and they charged me nothing!! They made me very welcome, gave me a a bike to get get lost with for a few hours as well. Coffee, access to the workshop and friendly service. Reckon I did well and they are OK!

Another vote for John Clark (Tayside) as I`ve also been told my first will be free.:D...............if they can still do it what about the others ?

Shinyface;)

£160 inc iriduim pulgs oil,oil filter, drive oil and brake fliuds and valves
done by me :D about 1 week wait:nenau sorry but i am still mad busy :hide

My 600 mile service was free. SPC from whom I had bought the bike had by then gone bust, but Vines of Guildford agreed to do it for free, funded by BMW.

My most recent 6000 mile oil service was £64 including filter, oil and VAT. But that was in Casablanca.
