I paid 12 quid a litre.

Thanks I'll check it out, probably to late for my service on Saturday but there's always the next one!
6k plus 1 yr service done this morning including brake fluid, £219! Might have to buy the oil next time!

There's a flaw in your argument here.
Your smart up to the point where something goes hideously wrong and it's gonna cost you big time.
My money is on that you'll be straight on the blower to your dealer asking for some form of good will

Not really. When it goes wrong he will have to prove he's serviced it according to the manufactures schedule. If it's an insurance backed warranty it's game over
£218 today at Benhams for my 6000 mike service inc change of brake fluid, new oil in diff and the usual service plus investigating a few minor problems.
Can't really see why a change of brake fluid is necessary on a 3 month old bike that has done 6600 miles, surely it only needs changing every 2 years! Can't say I'm that bothered as the price seems reasonable and the rear pads I said were worn out were checked and they are only 40% worn and should last till the next service. Still a rapid rate of wear for a rider who rarely uses the brakes and does little town riding.
Well pleased with the service from Benhams and the bike seemed to run really nice on the way home, a feeling that was exaggerated after riding the 650 Serato single that I had as a loan bike while mine was serviced. Not sure why but the gear change/ clutch drag seems to have improved as well, still a big clunk into first but it has improved.

Nah mate. Never had a problem . Have had loads of new bikes and cars too. Get the first service done by the dealer and then bye bye. Not had a problem with any recall or warranty work carried out by the dealer. Keep the receipts for oil and filters and whatever else. Record the work carried out and you are sorted. My hp2 sport which i owned for 5x years had all the servicing work carried out by myself and was sold back to bmw williams ma hester. No questions ,a d dealer satisfied with what i presented them. Must have saved at least 1k on servicing costs on that bike alone. If i way it up on all vehicles ive owned in last 30 years i must be a good 10k up. Also somewhere in legislation allows the owner to carry out his own repair/servicing work if correct parts and schedule/process are followed.

What did they do for that? They charged me £123.82 when the bike hit 6k miles at 6 months old. 0000111 Service @£32.81plus oil change, £13.13, synthetic oil £45.64, gasket £0.36, filter £11.24 all plus vat.
Bike tells me i now need to go back 12 month or 6k miles from that point (bike 18 month old) , so september this year. Was there a brake fluid change to bump your cost up, did i miss something when my bike hit 12 months old?
Cant keep track of these bmw service schedules.

Shamone, can you post the breakdown of costs please if possible? The 6k service is only really an oil change and for some reason a brake fluid change. The rest is inspections.
Also anyone know if the GS111 can now read and change service reminders on the LC?
