60Csx questions

I've had my 60Csx for some time, but have only used it for military and hiking applications.
Now, for my upcoming trip from the US through Central America to Venezuela I'd like to use it.

So....
What is the best mount for it? (is there something lockable?) I've seen the RAM mount, but anytime I'd stop I'd have to take it off and bring it with me, yes?
And what is the best way to power it? Is there a cable that connects to it that will also connect into the BMW power supply socket on the bike?

i use the RAM mount & take it off as neessary.

you can get cable to go between bmw accessory socket and the gps unit. i think i got one from gps warehouse in the UK.

if you have a 1200, you can get a cable from bmw that fits the sat nav socket by the headstock. this can be spliced to the cable mentioned above to make a neat canbus feed to the unit. do a search on this site to find a very comprehensive guide to that option.
