Hi there
Just fitted a new 660 to the RT and I am using the audio connection on the Garmin hard wiring loom to connect to my helmet speaker. My worry is how to keep the jack socket dry otherwise I will have to put it under the front seat each time I park up in the rain. Has anyone found a neat solution to the problem

Regards Byron

I just attach to bike and don't worry about anything. 4 years and no problems yet! 3 of those were everyday rain or shine.

I try to make sure the bike connection points downwards to reduce the amount of moisture that can collect, then give it a flick to remove as much moisture that has got in there. And give it an occasional spray of WD40.

If you want to protect it buy, or make, a short 3.5mm stereo extension. Easy and cheap to replace should it get damaged in any way. That way the Garmin bit can stay out of harms way.

Thanks for all of your help but I will try and find a cover rather like a valve cap if possible:confused:

Same as above

I have a short coiled 3.5mm extension cable - my Garmin lead is tucked away and all i have is the expendable coiled extension - but in two years not had any problems...
