660 switching off

Had my 660 for nearly a year now and had no problems. However in the past week or so with it mounted in the car it has been shutting down after an hour. I'm running 3.9 and have done for months.

Haven't used it on the bike since last year so don't know if its just the car mount problem or not.

Any thoughts?

Back up your data, upgrade the firmware to 4.1 and then do a hard reset.

The "ON" button on my 660 is slightly sticky. If I use it for shortcuts (volume, brightness) it sometimes turns off.

When it's in the mount and theoretically powered from the car does the battery symbol disappear on the 'where to' + 'view map' screen? If not then the mount is probably faulty.

Mine (interestingly also coming up to a year old) has just started switching off but it only seems to happen after I have been dicking about with the switch to adjust brightness/volume.

If it's the on/off switch getting sticky then you can strip the Zumo down and clean it as per instructions on this thread.

Software update

My 660 was shutting off a few times last week....I did a software U.D today and it seems to be more stable now...
