--- thought I may use that colour. We'll have to start a 'faux basic' register

I was going to do the same with yellow 'tins' but i chickened out and went for black with white guards and side panels and yellow tank, fairing and white headlamp pod.

My projects stalled at the moment due to another bigger project so its sitting in pieces at the moment, just waiting for a few days assembly and a few parts.

Looks good in blue though:thumb2

Yer gonna have to pad out the pannier frames or the panniers themselves as paint will be gone once the vibes set in during normal use.:rob Been there my friend and it made me weep.

Oh go on then...

One more Photo today before I take a break and stuff my face with Chinese Takeaway... :P

Now with Handlebars and Forkhead Uppers and Lowers.

Note the Sledge-Hammer propping up the Frame. An Official BMW tool... NOT :augie :P

There is something strangely satisfying about starting a build with a newly painted frame, even though deep down you know you have missed something/will scratch something at a future point. Another bit I always enjoyed was digging out the really obscure cycle thread taps to clean the threaded holes in the frame (Old Brit bike thing)

I really should do this again and soon :)

Time for an update methinks...

Evenin' all.
Time for an update I reckon...

Rear shock this time.
It was a bit of a state - Clagged up with mud after my last green-laning session, powder peeling on the coil and some surface rust. I thought it might be time to do something about it! Here she was:

After a deep clean and polish - and getting the Coil back from the Powdercoaters, I fabricated a small Felt ring to protect the Coil from the adjusting ring. After fitting these and a small amount of Grease she was done!

Next I'm fitting the Engine. Looking forward to getting that out of the way...

The project died a death - bike got sold to fund other projects. I do miss it, but my R1150GSA does fine for now. :beerjug:

Awwww....:(

If you remember the reg no you could put us out of our misery and check on the .gov mot/tax checker to see if its back on the road........:thumb2
