990 SMT cables under the seat.

Anyone any idea what all the spare cables and connectors are for under the seat near the tail light? There's a very serious looking connector block with a waterproof rubber gaiter on it, which is odd.

Fitted some Wings slip-on's yesterday. Man they're lighter than the originals! Like taking a pillion of the back

I know I keep saying it, but what a brilliant bike. Very entertaining

If it is a 14-pin block, then I would hazard a guess that it is for a Meta Defcom alarm unit

The connector in the rubber boot is indeed for the factory alarm. Have a look here for more info on the various electrical connectors under the back end of the seat:
