...to buy some gloves.

Up the A1 ....not been north of here on it for ages, so it was moderately interesting in parts.

Across the border:

...you can make out the border on me sat-nag if you don't believe the sign:

Like many I'd normally just fly past Edinburgh using the by-pass and road bridge, so it was good to get a different perspective, from the front at Queensferry.

I was a bit early for the shop, so had a bit of a potter further on...

...then parked nearer the shop (Forth Gear :thumb2)...

Bought the gloves I wanted, putting them on straight away for the ride home, this time down the A68/A697...stopping at Coldstream:

Did about 250 miles and filled up just short of home at Stannington, fuel consumption working out at a pleasant 53.7mpg, which may suggest the speeds I'd been doing :D

Time for a few beers and a pizza, methinks.

Lovely. As someone who struggles to get a pass for ride-outs too often I lap these up, whether a day trip for gloves or a circumnavigation of the globe!

i am so happy living in south queensferry. great pictures.:flag

Enjoyed that, my son lives up the road lovely part of the world.

Bloody ell, that takes me back a bit! Only 38 yrs though when I was based in HMS Lochinvar, now the yacht marina that it looks as though you took some of the pictures from?! Used to leg it up the A68 on the old CB250! Wonderful roads and scenery abound & the excuse to go there...............classic :thumb2
