If I were going to change I would do it in December because there’s some fantastic deals around. KTM are already advertising their Black Friday deals which are very tempting.
Running an older bike ie yours wouldn’t bother me at all because although it could go bang, it’s unlikely to.

Not a bad idea, might give the dealer a call, I have had 4 brand new bikes from them since 2005 and all my servicing is done by them too so hopefully they might come up with an offer I cannot refuse - I like to change every 3 years because I do pile on the miles but the bikes are 100% serviced and looked after so they are great used bike for someone.
