I share my bike parking space with a Norton Commando 750.
It's not mine, it's the bike of the person that owns the garage. I think it's an Interstate model.
The owner of the bike has been thinking about fitting an electric starter for a while. I remember first discussing this with him a few years ago over beers.
My understanding is that there are two solutions so far on the market? I think he's eyeing the Alton starter.
Any suggestion on what is best between the various options and if there are massive differences between them?
I obviously have absolute zero experience in classic bikes, but we're both eager to put the bike back rideable shape and I'm happy to help with initial minor work before someone skilled will be involved.
At the moment there is some flush and rebuild work to be done around the brakes (even just for wheeling it around) and I will fit a new set of tyres later on, as current ones are basically granite at this stage.
Bike hasn't ran in properly in two or three years.
I rode it once just before covid times, but the owner would make it run every once in a while.
